Goodbye Marshall Seese!

Marshall retired as of November 5th, 2008. This video feature from the old days that he worked to the days that he work with Heather. You will hear some of the meteorologist talking about him and when Heather first speaks about Marshall, you see him in the square box crying. He is going to be really missed and not only that, things will be not the same without Heather's partner. They both worked together for nearly 9 years with good profession. I get the feeling that NBCU layed off OCMs such as Cheryl Lemke and Dave Schwartz because they did not want to speak publicly about man-made global warming and Marshall Seese did not want to do it either so instead of challenging NBCU, he retired to avoid leaving on harsh notes. I get the feeling that had NBCU never aquired TWC, Seese would still be working for TWC today. What are your thoughts on that? Also i heard Lemke and Schwartz now work for local atlanta staions. What does seese do today

@metsfreak4life Well, besides golf, Marshall has his own weather cast called "weatherball." Search in Google search "weatherball Marshall Seese." NBCU did in fact did they lay offs according to the 2008 articles.

Damn, that show really went straight to hell when he left. Heather is freaking gorgeous, and Nicole was a nice bonus. Now YWT is a comedy show with those two idiots, Abrams and Bettes. Give us back our Tesch!

@talladegajunkie1439 ehh, Jeff Morrow, Nick Walker, Paul Goodloe, Jim Cantore, Dr. Greg Forbes, Heather Tesch, and Adam Berg (the only newish TWC meteorologist who I like) are good, everyone else ranges from meh at best ( like Mark Santos and Maria Larosa) to steaming piles of horse crap (like Stephanie Abrams and Mike Bettes)

I remember being obsessed with The Weather Channel when I was 6 through about 9. Marshall Seese was my idol. Back in those days the Weather Channel was about weather. Nowadays it's a joke, all about personality and ratings like everything else. I even wrote a letter to Marshall when I was 7 about how I wanted to be a weather guy, which he awesomely replied to. It made my day. You don't get that now. Cantore's still cool but the new people just don't have it.

I think if the weather channel boat is sinking then accuweather needs to get a station of their own and hire all the good OCM that NBC booted off and hire them. If I want to watch some austrailian guy take pictures I'll tune to the discovery channel or animal planet or something.

The Weather Channel went down the tubes when Marshall left. The only one thats even CLOSE to being a halfway decent OCM is Jim Cantore... and that aint much.
