Ralph Murdoch's 1970 Camaro drifted out of the normal line and nearly went off the road. His back tire was in the loose stuff when he gunned it spraying me with dust and gravel. The only casualty was a chipped camera lens and mouthful of dirt, but no one was hurt and Murdoch went on to win the vintage class with a time of 12:51.004. If you're curious enough, you can see exactly where I was standing here: http://g.co/maps/dpppa
The concrete drainage wall that I'm standing behind is visible in the center of the screen.

  • Lol. "Man, that was fast!"

  • Call me old school, that seeing a '70 Camaro with the wide racing tires and hearing the roaring V-8 just puts a smile on my face.
