In Berlins traditional working class neighborhoods,left-wing extremist violence is on the rise. Young professionals are increasingly moving into these neighborhoods, causing the rents to rise and pushing out many of the old tenants. This is a thorn in the eye of the radical left wingers who are reacting by damaging new buildings and setting cars on fire. Unable to stop the violence, the police are now demanding a harder tack from politicians.

To be at one's most sanguine, in Berlin, and in Pairs, etc., one could consider Tim Laumeyer and his ilk as belonging to a class of proletarian economists which understands acts of vandalism as the means to create employment: A destroyed car or building, creates the demand for a new car and/or building. However, what they fail to appreciate, as per the principles of the despised capitalism, is that capital is directed away from new lines of investment, and Tim Laumeyer, et al, stay unemployed.
