How to Jailbreak (Hack) iPod Touch 3G

--PLEASE READ--

DO NOT JAILBREAK IF YOUR IPOD IS RUNNING ANYTHING HIGHER THAN 3.1.2 FIRMWARE !!!

You can check this out by going on your iPod and going to Settings General About, then scroll down to "Version" and it will say what version you are running on. Any more than 3.1.2 and you will have to downgrade (ask me how to in comments if you don't know.)

If you are using an ipod touch 3g, if you restart your ipod, you will have to "make it ra1n" again. this is called a tethered jailbreak as the 3g jailbreak isn't perfect because it is new. It will still work normally, it's just the reboot thing. Also this is why my iPod was in recovery mode at the beginning of the video.

--YOU CAN RESTORE THE IPOD--
all you have to do is plug it into your pc with itunes on it, and itunes will automatically see there is something different and will put it in recovery mode. At this point, all you have to do is re-install the firmware and it is back to normal.

--YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE IT IN RECOVERY MODE--
My Ipod was in recovery mode because i turned it off and back on again, but it can just be normally on.
