If Obama supports the succession of Tibet from China, what about tribes in America like the Lakota who recently broke their treaties with the U.S. government calling for the return of their land? Google the Republic of Lakota.
America will not return Hawaii to Hawaiians, the Dakotas to the Lakotas, and the West to Latinos. Until that day, China has every reason to criticize the US for trying to take a speck out of another's eye with a plank in one's own.

@tadorjee other countries will make speeches but will not help the tibetans in any practical way. no country can exert any real economic pressure on china. usa and china will not go to war over tibet or even taiwan. china will not invade taiwan ;only posture a bit.i predict tibet will be under chinese rule for the next 60 years at least. when china is free from communists then tibet can be free. dalai lama should have made sure tibet had a credible army. the chinese troops just walked in.

Chinese cruelty,disrespect for human right,disrespect for international order and clashes of interest with US can lead to awar and that day will be the death of China.All other occupied nation by China will be free.

the chinese need to chill out. it is just talk. no action will be taken. there is no oil in tibet so no country will invade tibet. no country will arm the tibetans. it seems tibet will never be free.
