First days of testing my new HD video camera (Canon Legria HFS10) in the backyard. Mainly trying some close up shots here. No effects added. Exported via Adobe Premiere Pro using H.264 format, preset HDTV1080p 25 High quality, then uploaded to Youtube.
BTW, don't let Youtube footage negatively influence your decision on maybe purchasing this camera in relation to footage quality. The quality is absolutely sensational when viewed thru your HDTV-that's the way you get most value out of it. I upgraded from a Sony TRV15 probably over 10 years old SD miniDV camcorder, and the difference in quality is phenomenal and without doubt worth the investment if quality footage is what you are after.
Does this camcorder have a view finder?

Wow, you cant say macro shots suck on this thing. It made me almost reach and touch the turtles bumpy skin. Im on the fence about this cam. Canon has never dissapointed me in photcameras, and im wondering if this will be just as good an experience. I need a cam to properly track a flying model airplane, and focus can be a real.. bi**.. Hows this one handle small moving objects infront of far away backgrounds like clouds and such?

@SvenOkonomi i can't be of much help there mate-i mainly bought it to film my daughter. While she is indeed a "small moving object" so to speak, i suspect that is not really what you are after! :) i did however film a plane flying overhead just once on the first day i bought it, but i wasnt using a tripod and therefore the focus did not track that well. I imagine if u steadied the shot up on a tripod it wldnt be a problem-ur best bet is to test one out in a shop b4 u buy i think
