Chevrolet did a good job.

Oh my, I can see getting behind one of these cars on a long 2 lane road with no passing, cheerfully driving at 30 mph (in a 45 mph zone) so my friendly Volt driver in front can keep from straining his little green ball.

We getting the volt in Australia 2012 and I be getting it. It is expensive 60k but not more then buying a bmw or Mercedes luxury car. My commute to work is in the range of the electric engine so no more petrol. This is the future of motoring, it a electric car that is practical. Batteries will improve and range will get better. The naysayers should think again.

@TheYeomanDroid No problem. Just make sure to put on your fireproof suit before driving it.

As far as racing hybrids I bought a new Honda cr-z. I know its a Honda shame on me but its a fun to drive hybrid and there's a aftermarket for it. It makes those line drives to work a lot more fun.

i'd be more supportive of electric cars if we got electricity cleanly...

I can't wait to see more hybrids and electric cars being modified with more powerful electric motors, more charge capacity and higher discharge rates. Once EV vehicles become more common in racing, the future will be even brighter :P
