In this video, I attempt to introduce the concept of Uplighting, or Architectural lighting. I have a lot to learn and will be learning as I go, so your input is appreciated

  • Brian, you are the only guy helping and teaching about lighting. This is very cool, but could you do/did you do a lighting 101 for dummies, oh and also fog machines. Great vids man!

  • This is going to be a very useful, educational project about led uplighting. Can't wait to see the next video brian.

  • thank you, great video

  • I had an event on Tuesday, where I was doing the lighting at a live event, it was a small one in a hall, but I was using 16 halogen uplights that I had rented, and some idiot came up to my light board and just wacked all the sliders up, causing 1 of the bulbs to blow, lucky I had a spare. I also had a bulb in a moving head blow, which I had only used about 6 times and have owned for 3 months. both not good, but you learn, just a warning to others, be aware, anything can happen :)

  • Hey Brian, Thanks for all of your work. I've learned a ton from you - always appreciate your delivery. I just bought 14 LED lights - went the Ebay route, and ended up with par 64 lights, and the HTL Mega Panels. The Mega Panels DMX input output seem reversed to what the other lights and controllers are. When I got the adapters and hooked them into the controller - it responds questionably at best. Is there something I'm missing? Obviously, the company isn't much help, so I'm hoping for input.

  • you are awesome! thank you!

  • @metome142 Each needs to have its own power

  • own power sorrry

  • Can anyone tell me if the American DJ LED64 pars can daisy chain their power? Or does each light need to have its own power?

  • one question on power consumption Brian . do you leave the lights on when your grandma comes down in the basement to do your laundry??

  • Thanks for the video dude, i have been looking into uplighting lately for my wedding gigs.

  • i was thinking the same thing! the second i got my first LED it retired my par cans for good!!!
