  • I can tell you from riding a few through there that she is up to about 147 by the time she goes under the bridge, but up to 150 by the time she's just past you.

  • Yup, the speeds for kingston are 141-152 MPH.

I just took this thing on the 10th, but on washington line. Up to 135 mph.

  • COMMMENTS ARE WELCOME

  • I am in the aviation field and will admit flat out that high speed rail is FAR more efficient for travel under 500 miles...maybe far more. To run from Boston to NY or DC, the Acela is the way to go - bar none.

  • We need more of them and better tracks like the German ICE.

  • I hate flying nowadays, due to more security TSA measures, although I can see why they would do such. I live in Colorado, and even though we don't have super high speed rail here, I may plan an Amtrak trip somewhere within the continental USA.

  • Our trains will continue to top at 70mph, while the rest of the world's trains keep getting faster; pushing the 200mph mark.

  • @croc17046 the trains are going 220 mph wen its done in year 2020

  • @KawasakiPlant hope later on we can have all other trains go 220-230 mph

  • train approching ???? it's come and gone. PLEASE stay behind yellow line, enless want a shave and a haircut

  • That's fast but guest what my remote control airplane will beat that. And I got a multiplex funjet ultra travels 185mph let's raaaaaaaccceee

  • Nice ! And we do not have these running all over the country , WHY ?

  • You know, I totally support Obama's Rail Initiative if they're going to build more quality trains like this one

  • "Train approaching! Please remain behind the yell(sonic boom)"

  • Best damn train on American rails. What a rush!
