I want a PS3 with backward compatibility so I can play my GTA 3 era games what do you strongly suggest I should buy?

@flatbob123 what's that call

They tried that with a previous 80gb model with 4 USB ports in a patch and it was even more faulty than the 20-60gb ones. Besides, I am no longer in the PS3 for the backwards compatibility when I can use the PS2 for that. This is because certain games mess up if played on a PS3, you need an adapter for older accessories, and there is the control lag that even Sony can't fix it. I was able to fit the PS2 & 3, Wii, Xbox, and VHS/DVD combo player in the same space.

there is an app on the psn store where you get a software update for ps2 data

PS1 works great on my PS3, and that's where the best FF's were (7,8). I haven't tried PS2 yet, though I still have my old PS2 console in a closet somewhere if I really need it.

@d3vils4t4n they stopped making them yes but their still all over the place just go to any game store and they usualy have them floating around

when sony stops making ps2 how people (like little kids) gonna play ps2 games because i dont think they like to play ps3 games
-
I think it bullshit that you can only it on ps3 backup compatibility it really bullshit ok it's
i heard that sony will never add ps2 compatibilty to ps3 anymore. it's true. i read it and i'm dissapointed. i mean i understand that they discontinued the emulation chip because that's what made the ps3 worth 500$, but why can't they sell an installation cd for ps2 compatibility for 30-50$. wit the ps3 u can play dvd's so u don't need to connect a dvd, neither a cd player, neither a blue ray player, neither a ps1 console, and they ruined it not wit including the ps2. did sony ever hear of space

the entire ps2 sells for 90 bucks. optical drive, network chip, memory, cpu, gpu, controller ports, case, 1 controller, power supply unit, video cables, boxing etc. sold with a profit fot 90 bucks. EE+GS will not set you back that much so it's no excuse for ditching ps2 compatibility. i would pay 50 bucks more so I can play ps2 games with my hdtv improved graphics and all. sony dropped the ball.
