@illesnille; he doesn't use a harness and tether. He climbs free solo as well. It's not a CGI trick. I've met Dean, and watched him climb. He's the real deal, and wouldn't try and "fool" the public into thinking he's doing something he's not.

He has a lust for life to the extent that he was willing (and able) to become that 1 guy out of 10 that does not fall.What you see isn't the product of sheer recklessness. No doubt, you have to be wired slightly differently, but I would put this in a similar category to Bruce Lee or "Man on Wire". . .What you see is the product of years of dedication to an extremely demanding mental and physical discipline.

@Konicava I don't think you understand the mentality of total dedication to a passion. If he dies, he'll die pursuing what he loves. While I, personally, don't think I would try this, I have massive respect for a person with this kind of dedication, skill and lust for life.
