  • @TrailerParkTrish: You can buy linseed oil cheaply at the hardware store. If you buy it from a craft store they charge you so much for the packaging. Buy the a pint...it's cheap.

  • @eoptravel WOW! I had no idea. I'm going to Walmart with my DIL tomorrow. I really hope they have linseed oil.

  • @TrailerParkTrish: when you seal this with linseed oil, the color will deepen with a slightly goldeness..is that's even a word. It will look better than the video. Due to the uneveness of even a brush stroke...the oil sealer makes it look like there is a glass over it...the eye isn't flexing back and forth when viewed. Just like when it's on film...the video is the glass.

  • @eoptravel Thank you! I still have a long way to go, but I'm happy so far. It looks a lot bluer in the video than it actually is. Actually, it looks a better on film than in person...lol

  • Alright, your apple is perfect...so real looking with many variations of tones and values.  Everything is just perfect. I'm so proud of you.
