I was like, wow. Nice argument. I wonder if Cheny would ever say, torture doesn't work.

The terrorists hate america. If we continue these types of methods of pursuit i.e. torture, wars with the wrong countries, we become the assholes they think we are. We have to pursue our enemies with a sence of love and respect, I know that's a hard statement to take, but we must get to the bottom of why our enemies hate us, only then will they stop being our enemies.

why didnt they just say that the people they were torturing said it? that way they didnt even have to torture them or anything...doesnt make any sense

That if you actually caught a real terrorist, you might see what happens if you show him love as opposed to a beating, which is what he's expecting because his teachers have taught him that we are the scum of the earth, if we prove to him we're not, we have gained a brother.

@TMundo how is that a harsh statement? we need to confront our enemies with love and respect yet authority. the american public needs to wake up and smell the cowshit. our government is in about 30-40 years worth of trouble and lies. they have been snowballing the effect that has built up to todays problem. While most of you fuckheads are our watching jersey shore perhaps you should think about arming yourselves, getting a gasmask, stocking up on food or finding a way to plant your own food, etc

And as for waterboarding not being torture, check what Jesse Ventura says. He was waterboarded and knows it for what it is.

international law? who decides that? American lives have already been saved by interrogation of terrorists and other enemies of the US. That has been documented. Torture is subject to interpretation no matter what anybody says. I am of the opinion that mind games (which waterboarding is) are fair game unless they actually drown the person. And naked pictures of prisoners.... give me a f'ing break that is torture???????? as compared to the techniques used by our enemies over the years???
