Loved this place as a kid, then as a young man had the pleasure of working as a musician there quite frequently. The walk after getting the 92 or 89 bus down Kirkmanshulme Lane seemed to take a lifetime as a kid.

The place was on a bigger site than the original Disneyworld. Yes, animal welfare wasn't great, but it wasn't anywhere back then. People welfare wasn't too great either! It was magical to me as a kid.
Recall going to the fireworks after stock cars/speedway and it was bits and pieces to the skeletons as well!
Always had a smell of dunginess!

The animals were treated badly, cant say it was a loss that this place closed.

they closed this fantastic place down,built the showcase cinema and a few other places that to date have proberbley made a few hundred quid in 20 odd years.what a waste
