Should Scotland have it's own "official" national anthem? Personally I'm undecided on which song it should be, but we should have an anthem. I like Flower of Scotland, Caledonia and Loch Lomond. Could this be the song though?

  • @mattouli No amazing that it is sung by them. That is the first Scottish parliament and they weren't meant to sing. Cause you know what would the queen think, but they sung anyway!

  • I always loved this song - strange seeing it sung by a load of dour old cronies in suits though...

  • Another reason to use that song, it was written by Burns.

  • "we look to Scotland for all our ideas of civilization".Voltaire

  • Beyond gorgeous!

  • @MJMedin Maybe it's the words, my friends. They talk of equality among all men. That hasn't always been the aim of certain politicial parties.

  • Beautiful.

  • It has a huge humanist message.....and all those "trough dippers" have lost the whole ethos of Burns and Dewer
