Denver Academy believes students deserve to be taught in the way that best suits their learning styles. They can thrive, grow and be infinitely successful when their way of learning is honored and they are taught in an engaging manner. Our mission is to be a center of excellence for students with learning differences, developing their intellectual, social, physical and moral potentials.

Founded in 1972, Denver Academy is internationally recognized for the quality of our program. As the only coed, 1st through 12th grade independent school in the Denver metro area, we are dedicated to teaching students with unique learning profiles. We are completely and passionately committed to finding out how each of our students learns best.

Denver Academy is a unique place of learning. Teachers in other schools are forced to convey information to one style of learner and in one uniform method which favors only a particular learning style. Denver Academy, however, uses diagnostic tools to gain a detailed understanding of the specific skills students need to use to learn and be successful. We not only take the students' diagnostic profile into consideration, but also consider social maturity and the academic levels in which the student is performing in each subject. We support the philosophy of differentiated instruction, as we do not believe each and every student is at the "same time, same place, same station."
