We both stood up and walked over to the door. Who the heck could it be? Railey opened the door as I stood behind her, shocked.
Joe? I asked. I was shocked because, well, first off: I havent seen him and the rest of the family since Railey and I went to visit them. Second: Joe... at a college. Why was he even here? Maybe hes lost. Yeah, definitely lost.
Hey guys, he said to us with a wave.
Joe, whatre you doing here? I asked. He sighed and walked in.
Its a long story. But, lets just forget the details. Im your new roomy, he said while flashing a smile. I didnt know what to ask. Joe was going to... college?
Youre coming to college? Railey asked, taking the words right out of my mouth.
Yeah. Kevins music career is getting big, so hes moved out and is living with Rachel, he said. Rachel was Kevs new girlfriend. I had only talked to her once or twice and she seemed pretty decent. Plus, mom and dad kind of kicked me out...
Why? I asked while sitting down and patting a seat next to me. He sat down and threw his stuff on the floor beside him.

Wasnt responsible enough, kind of careless, and a bit conceited. But, thats just them. Like they know anything, huh?
Um, yeah... anyways... you just decided to come to college?
Well, no. Ive been looking at colleges for a couple months now. I think Im going to do something with my life, he proudly said. What a nerd.
Good for you, Joe! Railey said while smiling at him. He smiled back.
