  • Will BNSF still keep its name (BNSF) and orenge paint scheem?

  • You are the only news company that i know of on long island to get the name right ITS BURLINGTON NORTHERN SANTA FE OR BNSF the others call it Burlington northern & it really irritates me

  • Buy, buy, buy... Shake from those American dollarz and invest. With the collapse around the corner............

  • Only time will tell if your speculation about Buffett and the dollar is correct. I suspect not. What I am quoting is KNOWN HISTORY. I worked on the cooperative project between the BN and NNG where they SUCCESSFULLY ran a locomotive for a YEAR on natural gas. Cleaner, more efficient and fewer mechnical problems. Gas can be purchased on longer term contracts year round. Gas companys have been looking for that for a long time.

  • Buddy, this railroad buy had nothing to do with what you say. Buffett bought the railroad for one reason, to get out of his US dollars. He bought up real assets before the dollar gets devalued soon. It was a smart move. People like you are thinking too much into it. Railroads cant run on natural gas.

  • How cute they show a GEICO commercial prior to a Berkshire clip

  • Another BN synergy is with Buffett owned Northern Natural Gas which worked with the BN to develop a wildly successful system of using natural gas to run locomotives much cleaner, more efficient and less maintenance costs. This technology will give the BN a competitive advantage over Union Pacific which is also headquartered in Buffett's home town of Omaha. The NNG pipeline runs parallel to much of the BN line. Buffett's wisdom is proven yet again.
