YES I KNOW THE WURZELS ARE FROM SOMERSET.

Update 8.6.11: I met the Kaiser Chiefs in Falmouth and I got Ricky Wilson, yes, RICKY WILSON, to say "CUZ I'M CORNISH ME 'AN'SOME" :D WIN. I also gave him a St. Piran's Flag pin badge and he said that he'd wear it always! Yay! :D

Here it is, in this interview! :D

I was bored and so I thought I'd straighten out all of those Cornish stereotypes that are flying around out there...

Yay for jumpcuts and cue cards...

Song at the end is 'Combine Harvester' by The Wurzels

  • At least your not a Cumbrian sheep shagger like me, be thankful!

  • Luv this vid! Haha

I'm also born and raised in Cornwall ;) x

  • @belboyfan Cornwall College teaches Cornish, though I think it's only in the Saltash(Essa) branch: cornwall . ac . uk and search for cornish. There is an app you can download from the app store 'UTalk HD Cornish', You can set the ipod/phone international settings to Cornish. The BBC have a few lessons: bbc . co . uk / cornwall / connected / cornish.

kernewegva . com. You can do some research on the language on wikipedia, searching for cornish language

  • @punkrockerjazzie Sorry for going on, it's a complicated issue that does require alot of conversation. Don't get me wrong, I've got alot of English, Devon in me and i'm not a patriotic person normally or nationalistic, but it is an important issue that needs talking about. I've gone on enough

  • @punkrockerjazzie ... everyone learning and speaking the revived language will help more people's sense of national heritage with Cornwall. Both will go towards making the rest of the country take the issue seriously the more numbers there are. People who identify with thier Cornish cultural heritage are endangered and we really have our backs against the wall. The more people who regard it as 'dead' and become Anglified the harder it gets for us..

  • @TheMarrification It's a dead language. I appreciate it and do know a few bits, my grandmother can speak it and has taught me a bit. So just because it's not in this video makes me not know it?
