I feature Turbo MK3 from one of the 3 pirate carts I bought from the hypermarket. This one looks surprisingly decent!
Sorry about the audio cutoff at the end. Didn't realize I was over rambling :P And for some reason, I can't get it to display in its original 16:9 format.. :( So there are slight distortion here..

  • Wow, that brings back memories! I played this version 12 years ago. It was the first fighting game I played and the only one I've ever liked. I didn't know that it is a pirate game. Does anyone have a game ROM of this version? I looked everywhere and I found similar versions but not this one(Turbo Mortal Kombat III)

  • @papakotsosanimefreak Thanks! I assumed you've played it on real hardware, since you couldn't find the rom for it.. =) I haven't tried looking for it yet.. I was surprised at how playable this game is! Sometimes I do respect the pirates for figuring things out themselves! Another of my favorite is Street Fighter 3!! (^^)

  • woah i missed like three of your vids somehow. this looks pretty good for a pirate game.

  • Yeah.. I think it's a very decent pirate game..

  • This is a WICKED version, the one on my pirate cart is crap, graphics/sound suck and its very glitchy.

  • Thanks bro... I'd love to see your version too :)

  • Great video, I've tried this version and I agree that it is pretty fluid but my favourite pirate NES fighter is Street Fighter Zero 2 97. Doing the moves is hard on any 8bit fighting game as it doesn't respond well to how you usually do the move. I don't know if you have played Street Fighter Zero on Game Boy Color but that is very fluid, I use that as my ideal for how to do fighting games on 8bit systems. :)

  • I love getting weird pirate carts like this. I need to show some gameplay of a few sometime. I thought the MK was done ok for a hack. Not as good as the Master System version but better than the Gameboy one.

It's a shame that they didn't officially port it to the FC/NES because I think it could have been cool, like the TMNT Tournament Fighters.

  • I also have this Mortal Kombat on a mutlicart and it is really cool.

  • Wow...thats pretty amazing...so fluid.

man...just think...if someone would have just had an idea like that...we could have had some fighters on the NES...man.

  • Shit, I'm really impressed - I never would have thought a fighter on the NES could be so smooth!

  • I am also a proud owner of this game :D It's absolutely amazing :D it was my first fighting game :) Good to see you like it
