This is a simple, quick & effective way to remove candle wax from glass jars. All that is required is hot boiling water and a little bit of time.

  • You can just place the jar in a boiling pot and empty it out more quickly.

  • Dump it out where? you probably don't want to dump the wax in your sink.

  • YES!

FINALLY, thanks for the video. :D

  • or you could use a candle warmer to melt the wax

  • @GettFededd dude. exactly what i planned on doing xD

  • Yes now I can fill my empty, wax-free jars with weed!! :]

  • One last PS: The cool wax removal process is also good because the wax doesn't get contaminated this way and you can reuse it, either by feeding pieces back into your larger candles as they burn or by making new candles. Works best with bee's wax. Have a good one! 8-)

  • Additionally to the method I posted, if you are having a difficult time, run very hot water on the outside of the glass for a few seconds, then continue with the method of popping out the wax. It works well for me but I have a lot of practice with wax. I almost always prefer to remove wax when it is thoroughly cooled. If wax spills onto something just wait an hour or so until it is fully cooled, then just pop it off the surface. If there is some stuck, like in carpet "Goo Gone" works amazing!

  • My easy way to remove wax from jars, especially in the amounts shown in this video is to put them in the freezer for a bit if they aren't fully cooled then take a butter knife and push the tip down into the wax, just a little bit off center, then gently rock the knife with the intent of getting one of the sides of wax to pop off of the glass. Often once you do this you can remove the wax in just a few solid chunks.Once you get good at it you can often pop the whole hunk of wax out in one piece.

  • Thank you! I was just about to that, but had no idea how. I tho it was gonna b more complicated for some reason.

  • ChryTears, your comment was helpful, but I couldn't understand a lot of it cos of the typos, please repost if you wouldn't mind with corrections to the bits that might cause some misconstruction.

  • I do tons of candles for my table top ministry...so always have tons of glass votive candle holders. What I do is put them all inside big baking pan, put into the over 200* then half hour later, pout all the wax into big coffee can...then later...I reuse the wax by putting a long taper candle into a jar, then fill it up with the used candle wax...this will give you a large candle to use for emergency when power goes out...or romantic.I do this with my scented candle left overs, no waste! Smile!
