I DREAMED A DREAM [From "LES MISERABLES"] | sung by André Berlin

Whenever I sing any song from "Les Miserables" myself I shiver to my bones. No musical moves me more than this one. I should have been prepared, that it would hit me, when I started with "I dreamed a dream", but obviously I wasn´t.
My tears were running, but I wouldn´t stop singing. I´ve put some filters upon my glamourous face as I´d like to hide my tears but I can here it in my voice that
I was really struggling and in the end I made up.
Hope you like it.
For me this is an example of how singing can affect one.
I feel blessed to belt out and have these pure emotions
and kind of spiritual attachment that otherwise only drawing
is able to provide me, well as to artistics! :-)

I know what you felt. There are a couple hymns that for my entire life, I've never been able to sing through to the end, because my throat chokes and I tear. It's darned annoying when one loves the piece.

Oh, thank you. You´re so right. With this song, I have the feeling of living whole tragic life within a few minutes. It is so intense. I have recordings, where I had to stop too, so In understand what you mean. But emotions are important for singing. They make the song alive, happily or sad. Aahhh my all time favourite musical!! surprised you chose this song though...would think another better fittin your voice character. Missin the heart/warmth I hear in other songs you sing.

Thank you so much indeed. Very kind of you. And of course I wouldn´t change them, as I would change an original and as I have the idea of singing a song from both gender sides. Well, I sang "Woman in love" once. I found it strange to sing that line, but the rest of the sing was easy to feel. And feelings have no gender pronoun. So I am happy you liked my little video.
