I would not panic yet. We don't have a crystal ball so the time line is really unknown, but the best we can do is monitor the situation through the markets and position our portfolio's & life correctly to profit from it the best way we can.

If the dollar looses it's reserve status it would cause a panic in the viability of the dollar & country and everyone would sell off the dollar and buy Gold/Silver.
Also because we can not just print dollars any longer to pay off our own debt or sell bonds to foreigners indefinitely. We would actually have to produce surpluses and the fact is that this country does not produce enough any longer to support it's spending addiction and debt load. Not a good outcome the way I see it.
