This is an overview of the steel works area under construction on the Birmingham District RR being built in Birmingham, AL. The steel works is modeled after TCI's Fairfield Works c. 1928. At that time there were two blast furnaces, and 8 open hearth furnaces and various rolling mills. We are building two BF's, 3 OH's and a blooming mill for our newly cast hot ingots.
