  • @jvucket there are some smaller, more peaceful cichlids that would probably do ok. I only recommend smaller because predation is an important consideration, not just aggression. I really like the web site badmanstropicalfish as a resource that might give you a few ideas that you might not have known about before, or if you have a local aquarium store, since they specialize in fish they are usually more knowledgeable and will be better able to give you specific recommendations.

  • HRP's look like Convicts in breeding dress. When you seperate them for a while and they stop spawning, they look like an entirely different fish. Their bars turn into a couple spots on their sides while the males tail, anal and dorsal fin become real red. He will also get a lot of blue around the gills and underbelly at times as well.

  • hey can anyone give me a hand i have a 90 gallon tank with a pleco 2 mollies 2 swordtails 2 big ghost glass catfish and a bichir but i was wondering if i could keep cichlids with my fish?

  • i believe them to be crosses!!!!

  • And available!!!

  • WOW!! Those are the first "Red Points" that actually look different than regular convicts! Everyone thinks their convicts are Red Points but they are mix between Pink and Black Convicts!

  • are honduran red points the same as convicts?

  • Now that is Awesome!!

  • I'd disagree about it being less aggressive, my 1 and a half inch honduran red point female bullied 3 2 inch male convicts until she paired up and spawned with one of them, had to take the other 2 males out. In fact she's still the aggressor in the family.

  • Nice video, great seeing the parental care.
