Soundtrack from the film "Kong Kum Kong Keo". Unfortunately this film no longer exists. The film starred a new comer actress by the name of E Kimsua. E Kimsua resembled Dy Saveth and everyone would mistake her as Dy Saveth. She took that as an inspiration and became an actress. Due to illness she tragicly passed away at the young age of 21 right after the final shoots of the movie. E Kimsua was a really determined actress and was really happy to be part of this prodction. During the last days of her life she really wanted to see the final outcome of the movie but blindness had already taken over her. She tragicly passed away without ever seeing herself on the big screen.

  • I heard that she was So,Hean girlfriend. and his family didn't aproved due to her acting career.

  • Her name was Ee Kim Souand the movie Kong Kam Kong Keo was film in location of a waterfall in northern province where she contracted malaria and died.

  • I remembered when I was a young boy, I hung out with a some teenager boys and they sang this song. I learned to sing along with them. Amazing that I found this song on YouTube . Thanks to natesterx and YouTube technology make this happen.

It is a beautiful song. I love it.

  • Thanks a bunch for this rare classic.

  • Many and many thanks to u my dear friend "natesterx" for your khmer unfoundable oldies record !!

  • Pour Mlle Meas Chheng Channy

  • I have never seen the movie but I read the book story and I love it so much. Biv Chhayleang is one of my favourite khmer authors.

  • I heard she jumped in lake at the Kep province for a scene in some part of the movie and somehow-some sort of twig stabbed both of her eyes and she died at once...it's like someone planned it or something because people would always use to swim in that lake without a problem-just talking about it makes me shiver...it's so sad how she died for her only masterpiece, which is now gone because of the Khmer rouge.

  • song from the film - date? approx 1963 or 1964? my opinion only do your own research ask your grampa and post your findings
