Beat down at Walmart in Columbus, Ohio 08/01/2009 www.michaelblanford.com

This old lady was in the parking lot of Walmart in Whitehall, Ohio swinging a knife at people, when the police arrived she wouldn't drop the knife so the police officer took her down, the lady also assulted a kid by hitting him which sparked the crowd of people outside anyway, he was with relatives who intervened and that's when the knife swinging started anyone that tried to help her she began to swing her knife at them threatening them. Man the 1st of the month make people crazy ........

The display very poor judgement and if you ask anyone that has delt with them they are excessive with force. They have a reputation for assult and using tasers without resistance of any kind. She and or her family should sue them.

I agree with several post and this is My thought from observation and expierence. Yes she was waving a knife and one stab in the right place could have cost one of those officer's life's. But she is in her late 80's, these officer's are supposed to be trained. If it were Me responding to a situation like that I would just keep backing up if she was aggressive ( which she was not that I could tell. ) I mean how fast can she be? Just twist her wrist better to break her wrist than split her head

In a life or death situation you react appropriately, the only one hurt was the person with the knife and that was just minor, so the cop did a great job and should be commended.

Talk about talking shit! A knife is a knife, 87 years old or not it will still kill you. All the guy saw was Police Brutality, not a cop protecting him. White cop, black old lady, MUST be brutality, couldn't be anything else could it? Cops could use this as a training video. They could show what a complete Asshole is. Use common sense, do you think she wanted to slam some old lady just for the hell of it? In most situations the truth isn't obvious, don't think you know it all.
