Nathan Janes, artist activist of PUPAGANDA, has announced the unveiling of a campaign to turn off televisions across the country. The artist is calling for an awakening of the people to the gross manipulation of reality that is broadcast by the six major corporations controlling the content of television. In an article accompanying his latest artwork on the subject, Janes addresses the use of television as a weapon of mass deception for the last half of a century. He recognizes the role of the television in managing society and culture through such techniques as perception management, predictive programming and crisis creation. Janes has declared Unplugging the Signal to be of urgent concern for the television remains our greatest threat to individual sovereignty and the largest obstacle to becoming a truly informed individual.

When I debate people about the traffic cameras some will say there for them buying the propaganda "if we can save just one life" safety reason Bush by municipalities when the real reason is raising revenue while simultaneously conditioning the public to being under ever-growing surveillance by government.
