I was in an ukulele mood, but apparently my camera wasn't in the mood to work today... The entire video is out of sinc and I couldn't redo it cause it was an improvisational moment. Sorry.

I hope you can just enjoy the audio, which I'm getting better at recording! it's not so quiet anymore.

I need video ideas, so if there's a song you would like to see me try and cover post it in the comment section below. I'll do my best to do the ones i like :P

Equipment:
Ukulele - Kala KA-KTE-C
Mic - Samson G Track

  • oh my gosh! anychance of tabs? this is AMAZING

  • @mobyfreerunner sorry, no tabs. It was all improvisation. knowing me it was probably in the key of C, if that helps.

  • @mobyfreerunner wow! do you have any tips? or recommendations of resources where i can learn to improv like this?

  • @mobyfreerunner i guess the easiest resource is learn scales. I don't really know scales actually, but once you know what notes and chords work well together you can just kinda let loose and do whatever you feel like playing. You can make a song feel happy by using a faster tempo and major chords, then you can switch around and make it feel sad by using minors and maybe a slower pace. another good thing to know on uke is strumming patterns. those change the feeling of the song real quick.

  • I wish i could play my ukulele like you do.

  • @drawingclouds Thanks! Just keep playing and I'm sure you'll be better than I am. But make sure it's fun, cause there's no point to playing uke if you're not having fun doing it.

  • @Kudama6 Great! Thanks!

  • @Kudama6 Great! thanks!

  • @JPBigs I've had the uke for 3 years and I've only come upon 2 bad things 1) the action was a little high, but nothing a little sanding couldn't fix. And i think every mass produced uke has this problem 2) the endpin jack came loose, probably a fluke accident, but that was pretty easy to fix as well. otherwise I love the tone, the feel and the electronics are pretty good too. obviously a solid wood ukulele will sound better, but this one has a pleasant one all it's own. the case is great too

  • hey im thinking of buying that same ukulele... do you have anything to say about it good or bad?
