A fog machine works by making clouds out of a special fluid made of water and glycerine. The liquid gets pulled into the fog machine by a small pump. From there, the liquid moseys over into a heat exchanger which heats the fluid up into a vapor. The vapor continues through a pipe and mixes into a stream of room temperature air, which is cool enough for the glycerine and water mix to condense to form a cloud! • Machine* not mating. Autocorrect strikes again.

  • That's... was.. like.... The best... Fog... I ever had...! Hahaha one thing to mind that's not a thermal protector. It's a thermostat that tells the mating it's hot enough for the pump to spray fog. Otherwise the liquid would just spray out the front. Try hitting the switch when you first plug it in cold. It won't spray correct. Cool video tho. I was wondering how the insides worked anyway. I just got done watching a kid tell me to heat some beauty product from cvs on the stove. Just buy fogger

  • Splitting hairs, but it's high density when cooled by the ice.

  • @Lokivoid good info, thanks!

The pump it self is powered by that transformer board, being a windshield washer pump it runs on 12volts DC. If you want to use it in something else there is no need to bypass the thermal switch. Just simply remove it and power it with 12v DC. Now if your attempt to bypass the switch to operate the fog machine longer bursts it will not work, as the block wont get hot enough to atomize the fog fluid.

  • That mass of "white stuff" is fiberglass. That "thermal regulator" is just a thermal switch (its not a regulator), Its function is to cut power to the pump when the heat exchanger is below required temperature, It does not "prevent it from overheating or control the heating element in anyway. (not on the low end store bought machines anyways) Judging by the exchanger size and that windshield washer pump (yes it is in fact a cheap windshield washer pump) it is a extremely poor quality machine.

  • i was in a room with so much fog that it was pitch black and still dim with light on and when bright light was on it was blinding white

  • he bought it at....Target....So did i...

  • nemrossz
