In Utah, a juvenile court judge recently ordered a mother to chop off the ponytail of her 13 year-old daughter as punishment for the girls multiple legal transgressions, which included, ironically, chopping off the hair of a three-year old toddler earlier in the year. Now some might say that an eye for eye, or in this case, a ponytail for a ponytail is no way to teach young people right from wrong. But regardless of your opinion on biblical scripture or judicial discipline, there's little doubt that this delinquent teenager needed to have her attitude cut down to size.
