Our technology allows living cells or bacteria to be enclosed in small capsules that provides them with a micro-environment for growth and survival, prevents their migration by retaining them, protects them from external factors including attack by the immune system and allows them to be frozen, stored for long periods and then reanimated.
Cells do not change their properties during encapsulation and can respond to physiological stimuli since the capsules are porous. Further, any products made by the cells are released from the capsules.
The technology has wide application in biotechnology such as bioreactors as well as in many therapeutic areas including oncology, metabolic disease, cardio-vascular, inherited disease, infectious disease, degenerative disease, immunology and biotechnology.
The encapsulation technology is unique and has been shown to be safe and efficacious in humans.
