Come out for a night of great jazz as the Richard Underhill Quintet releases a new CD/Live DVD package at the Reservoir Lounge on Tuesday, June 29th at 7pm.

The Free Spirit CD/Live DVD is the long awaited 4th album and first DVD from Juno Award winning alto sax man Richard Underhilll. Recorded live at Lula Lounge on October 19th, the DVD features outstanding performances from trombonist Ron Westray, guitarist Eric St-Laurent, pianist Dave Restivo, bassist Artie Roth, drummer Artie Roth and special guest percussionist Michel DeQuevedo.Trombonist Ron Westray is a Lincoln Center Jazz and Wynton Marsalis Alum who is in Toronto as the Oscar Peterson Jazz Chair at York University.


The DVD was shot by a 5 camera video crew with Stephen Chung as the DOP. Between the studio album and the DVD, their are 13 new and old Richard Underhill originals performed by this amazing band.

The live band at the Reservoir Lounge on the 29th of June features William Carn - trombone, Dave Restivo - piano, Artie Roth - bass and Morgan Childs - drums and of course moi on alto saxomaphone. 
We'll be doing all new original music.

Heard this song last night on 91 Jazz FM Toronto and instantly fell in love with it. Love the Sax the most. Plan to buy the Free Spirit CD.
