Just a few of my older kits, finally built after ages of sitting around in boxes in the garage. I started out on kits like these back in the 70's or so, so I thought I'd dust 'em off and finish them for my collection at long last. Fun stuff!
@1973dodgestepside Wow! Thanks. I enjoyed working on it. Had to do a lot of recon to get some inner details right, but the outside was work too. Glad someone noticed! Appreciated very much!
While I do have Spindrift from eBay 8 years ago, I had an original model in 1969 when the show was on air. It didn't survive long. I put the main body together. Then I left it in the back window of the car. It was in Vernal, Utah at some dinosaur museum in July. It was just a sagging blob by the time we got back to the car. And somewhere in a photo album, is a picture of the car in the parking lot with an orange dot in the back window. LOL!
@LOTGiscool That's so funny. I bet everyone has a Spindrift story. I remember my kit I got at Christmas that first year also. It had a missing place back near the rear engines on the bottom where the plastic didn't fully mold in. It always bothered me. I have no idea where that old kit ended up. Sad. Anyway, glad to have it in hand again. This time, I think it looks better. Glad I spent some time on it. Fun ship. I always liked that show.
Cool. I love the 60s stuff. Did you assemble any seaviews?

@zombienotld Not yet, but I want to. There are some great kits out there now, so I have to get one. Thanks for the kind words.

That is an excellent finish on the UFO, nice brushed metal effect.
