  • Are radio club bought a buddipole and we put it up for field day exactly the way in Manuel said and we could not get the thing to resonate on any of the ham bands. Any advise?

  • @ke5pcv

On the field I use a tuner. I managed to make it resonant by means of a dip-meter and an antenna impedance meter. Moving the antenna to another soil seems to influence the resonance a lot.

  • If you don't want to spend too much time tuning your antenna try a Chameleon Antenna. You just need a tuner and you won't never have to touch the antenna once installed.

    Cheers,

I hope you 'll enjoy your buddypole as much as I do.
