Driving a Porsche GT3 at Donington in Simbin's racing sim, "GTR2". Just so you know, the foot cam screen has a tiny delay, but I don't think it's enough to ruin the effect.

Anyway, enjoy! :)

  • Gloves and driving shoes.....bet hes sat with helmet on too....

  • I wear the gloves and shoes for the same reasons I did when I raced for real in F3 and FAtlantic back in the 1970s. In a long race without gloves, I'll start to get a blister on my left thumb. The leather also gives better grip on the wheel so I don't have to hold it as tightly, thereby avoiding wear and tear on hand and forearm muscles. I'm 65 so I have to pace myself! :) The shoes are thin-soled (better pedal feel), and are also close-fitting and rocker-heeled for easier heel/toe.

  • nice stranglers gloves

  • @BLASTSTUDIOS101 Thanks! Actually I don't really need them for driving. I just want to have them on and ready to apply to other drivers' throats immediately after the race is over. :)

  • @chrisobr heheheheheheheheheh i use a sledge hammer.......

  • @BLASTSTUDIOS101 Ah. But doesn't carrying a sledge hammer slow the car down? But then, I suppose if you put it very low in the centre of the car it might actually improve weight distribution.

  • @chrisobr hhhhhhmmmm my thoughts exactly.

  • @nattapolcha Thanks for your confidence in my abilities, but don't hold your breath waiting for a video. :)

  • @chrisobr

I think if you can do heel&toe like a way you do, it's not hard for you to do left foot braking. Plus F1 has a high-end semi-autimatic gearbox that can downshift w/o clutch and rev match. Wanna see your F1 driving.

    :D

  • @nattapolcha I'm glad you like my footwork. You're correct that the car I'm driving is a 2004 Porsche GT3 RSR which has a sequential shifter, but I preferred to use an H-pattern shifter back then so I did. In my latest video of a couple of laps at Road Atlanta, I drive a 2003 GT3 RS which has an H-pattern shifter, so I was more authentic in that video. See the video of Leh Keen at Road Atlanta in a real GT3 RS to compare. BTW I'm trying to learn left-foot braking so I can do modern F1 simming.
