Yes, I caught (or grabbed off the floor, or whatever) all of these baseballs at Major League games (primarily at Shea Stadium, and Yankee Stadium, but a few are from places such as Tradition field (spring training), Nationals Park and Citizens Bank Park).
If you don't believe me, it's really not that hard. There are a lot of balls here (thats what she said) but you must know that this is the product of going about 50 games over the last year. I don't catch the game balls, but i go to batting practice and wear hats of the opposing teams to get them to throw balls to me. I also catch home runs in batting practice. Some of these are game used. I've only actually caught game balls on a fly twice. The rest of the game used are from when players throw them to me at the dugout after the inning is over.
Early in July of 2007, I was visiting my grandpa down in Wilmington, North Carolina. He showed me a book called "Watching Baseball Smarter" by Zack Hample. I had heard the name Zack Hample before. He was on SNY because he had this ridiculous collection of baseballs. I decided to look into him and do some research about how in hell does he go to baseball games and get 7 balls each time? I learned a lot about going to games and getting players to throw me baseballs and this whole collection is dedicated to him.

yup, i caught all of these at batting practice, and games and even the home run derby. all of these are from the 2008 season but some are from the 07 seasson

at baseball games, they let you go to the stadium a few hours early to watch the players warm up and practice hitting. they sometimes hit a few balls into the crowd and some players are nice enough to throw baseballs to fans. I have been to a lot of games and have got a lot of baseballs by showing up for the warm-ups and getting lucky.
