Some of you don't know what the "crown" of the helmet is. Martin's facemask is planted in Swope's left shoulder pad...only reason it wasn't underneath his shoulder is because Swope is being dragged down from behind. Clearly NOT targeting.

@NumberOneCollegeFan 1. That is an illegal hit according to the rules of college football today. It doesn't matter if you don't agree with the rules it still makes it illegal. I hate the targeting rule but it is the rule. 2. The guy led with his helmet. At least give yourself the benefit of the doubt by coming in with the shoulder. Leading with the helmet is not only dangerous for the guy you hit but its stupid as you can severely injure yourself.

@NumberOneCollegeFan Except for the fact that he clearly led with his helmet. That is extremely dangerous for both guys, and this is not a new rule.

@RobertDidszuhn I know nothing about football? I'm sorry I don't pay attention to all these little bogus rules about hits. I'm used to this sport being for people that could actually hit and not be worried about whether or not what they did was against the rules. This game I once knew as Football is becoming increasingly ridiculous.
