The Sintra - Praia das Macas tramway

This old tram line has been down for a long time, but is now renovated, reconstructed and updated. Although the tram serves mainly as a tourist attraction, some of the locals use it for daily transportation. And that´s what the line originally was built for... The vintage tram coach offers a a squeeky, noisy trip, but it´s very interesting, fun and different in many ways. A full tour from Sintra to Praia das Marcas ( by the sea ) takes about 45 minutes. Highly recommended !

Ho sempre amato questo tram e sia quando vivevo in Portogallo fino al 1997, sia dopo essere ritornato in Italia tutte le volta che venivo a Sintra, ho seguito la sua rinascita... Spero di rivederlo sempre lucido e funzionante e ammirato da tanti appassionati come me... Lunga vita al Sintra - Oceano...
