Hey man sick car...I have a 00 gt n i started da same swap a while back, I'm just finishing it now. I had a few lil questions, nut my main concern s wat did you use for headders

Nice ride... I just picked up a 2003 Harley Lightning engine complete with dash, fuse box, wiring etc. all with about 5,000 miles. I am a little intimidated about the wiring. what to keep, what I don't need. What did you use for headers? Have any pictures of the build?

ye I have pic of the build, you do not need the harness nor the fusebox if you are doing the swap to a 99-04 gt just some of the plugs let me know what you are swapping to and I might have some pointers......... if is a cool build you will enjoy it

was it a hard swap to do bc im thinking about doing a lighting swap on my 96 gt, wat was the most difficult problem you faced if any?

Acually it was really simple, the most difficult problem was the wiring, even then it was doable...... e-mail me it you need advice.

Well I changed to a t56 6 spd, with stage 3 spec clutch n alluminum driveshaft n flywheel. As for the rear end I have ut geared at 4.10s n I am changing the axles

@blown54stang , wat did u do as far as the tranny and rear end, did i would figure ur would have to strengthen them up

i have a 98 with the same swap but its got a few extra parts makes 575 hp and 612 ft lbs there a great swap

that is exactly why I kept it the way i did, love the look. could have done a cobra swap and made the same hp if i wanted to hide the engine.

i like it when people do the swaps but seriously do something about the whole upper intake sticking out 2 feet from the motor. most guys i have seen modify it so its sits just a couple of inches above the fenders and run a cowl but this thing is just ridiculus......

459.8hp@5028rpm and 479tq@2800rpm ran it only once at the track @ 11.2and 11.5 note it was a cold night.
