  • Rising IS one of the best albums of all time. No wonder it is, starts up with classical and badass rock songs and ends with two epics which rocks harder than any album from that time. Just amazing songs. Thanks for the upload!

  • Why is this song so rushed? It sounds like Dio is doing all he can to keep up with Ritchie. It could have been so much better if they slowed it down a bit.

  • @CentraCross Yes, Tarot woman is my favorite Rainbow song too. The druming is perfect, so martial, and Dio's voice is incredible.

  • The solo is really amazing, so mind bending, definitely from another galaxy

  • Awesome, but why is this so fast? For a second when I started the video, I thought it was sped up

  • @hoppydoffton I prefer the Elf sound. The diversity, the small rock format, the musical quality. Basically that it's less Metal and more Rock'n'Roll.

RBR has two ballads, one instrumental, two straight piano-profiled RnR numbers and heavier songs. It's perfect in that sense. LLRnR likewise has a haigh amount of diversity whereas Rising does not.

However - I love Tony Carey's work on the album and "Tarot Woman" might be my favorite Rainbow song.

It IS the best song on the album.

  • Blackmore/Dio/Powell triumvirate set the bar for all to follow.

  • @CentraCross Why?

  • @CentraCross Sure it´s a very very good album and that album actually is one of my favourite albums as well. But i do prefer Rising. All the albums are great. I think their last album was probably just as good as the first one as well

  • @blasabb I consider it the least of Dio's Rainbow albums. The best is the Debut.

  • MrsDrummer666 It was the 70s. Everything was played like that back then. Adrenlin I guess. A lot of songs were butchered for that very reason. Listen to a lot of the classic live albums over the years. Same thing.
