@UKGENERAL97 I agree with that. I'm only a brown belt!

@elitePredator115 nearly 6

@UKGENERAL97 how many years have u been doing karate?
-
@Nobbleykyle Not necisarily, its all about patience, Karate is not all about self defence but also about training mentally. Its not that I cant defend myself. But im just not like bruce lee where I can block every attack that is thrown at me and I was wondering how long it would take me to reach that level of skill

@UKGENERAL97 If you are a Black Belt and you don't think you can defend yourself effectively then you need to find a new Dojo. Black Belts should be able to defend themselves.

i thought karate was like bruce lee fighting style ,there is no such thing like blocking and all that fancy move , its just going and punch randomly

@ozera16 Karate & Bruce's style is very different.... All Martial Arts are related. Every style has something to offer.

@UKGENERAL97 That's a very good question! It all depends how you train. One must remember that point sparring is not real fighting. It's a very small category....being able to defend yourself requires you to fully understand all of your weapons (there are many). Long, medium and short range weapons must be sharpened. Also, you must realize that your opponent target areas are from the tip of the toes to the top of the head. Nothing is off limits. Good luck & thanks for watching.
