Wolfram|Alpha Homework Day was a 14-hour web event bringing together students, parents, and educators to explore the power of using Wolfram|Alpha for education.
During the webcast, we heard how Wolfram|Alpha is illuminating knowledge from education advocates, teachers, and students. We also shared a great collection of courseware from educators using Wolfram|Alpha. Additionally, our scholars answered many of your homework questions.
In this clip, college math instructor Maria Andersen shares how she is teaching her courses with Wolfram|Alpha.

Maria,
I also liked the way you explained some of the ways teaching has changed AND most importantly, the idea that we tend to teach the way we were taught. Making that explicit in the mass mind is key to understanding your final statements about comparing, for instance, testing. I am old enough to have used a slide rule in math class in high school, and I'm not at all sure I learned logarithms then they way I know them now (having learned again without a slide rule). Great job!
