  • Thank your for you compliment! These horses will stride and walk this out in the field. However, yes they are trained to enhance their gait and motion. Just a dressage horse may perform some of the moves naturally in the field and then their trainers work with and enhance what is already there. We will sometimes use a deep seat saddleseat saddle other time just the usual flat saddleseat saddle. As for bits just like with any other breed, you use what works for your horse.

  • Thank you both for your kind comments! Pete is an extremely special horse to me. He's my 'keeper'

  • Both horses are nice! personally I had the grey first and the other second

  • @Kayse38134 .....Thank you! The gray one is Repeat After Me, and he is a very special boy!

  • please don't post negative comments on something you know absolutely nothing about. i don't bash your breeds and make nasty comments about how you all have 1200 pond horses that wear an 0 or 00 shoe and insist on running the legs off them in a round pen. if you dont like it turn your damn computer off!

  • Thank you for the nice comments! As of right now Pete is the only TWH we have wearing any kind of pads.

  • I'm not familiar with walking horses, so I don't mean this in a bashing way, but their gait looks so odd! o.O Do these horses walk the same way when they're turned out in the pasture with no rider? The rider also seems to be sitting pretty far back compared to other english or western riders, is this normal? Do you use special types of saddles and bits for this kind of competition? I'd love to learn more about it! Anyway, it's a gorgeous horse you have there, I totally love grays! :o)

  • nice horse. I like that class the park performance. I thought you had won the class and the black one reserve.

  • nice horse. I like that class the park performance

  • @DblRFarm i agree with you 100%. i think that these people that post some of these comments are completely ignorant about what really goes on and not what the media says goes on. i hope the big lick is around for many more years!

  • Pete ! Is a bad MF lol nice horse I own 2 padded mares myself Russ Thompson stables in California doing all my training rite now , is he 4sale ?

  • I don't really like the padded "big Lick" look (its just not my cup of tea), but your stallion moves beautifully and I love his color.
