digitaldy... if it's got you so hot under the collar then chances are it's a very successful artwork! It doesn't matter how much it costs- art is about ideas. It made you think. Two thumbs up! And just for the record, I'll bet the jet engine has been referred to as art plenty of times. Just because legendary beautiful buildings fall into disrepair, doesn't mean that budgets dedicated to supporting the importance of creativity in our society would be spent on those buildings anyway...

@digitaldy well it's still there... looks like you were wrong about that bit. Personally I love this thing and so do most visitors to Liverpool I show it to.

You are right about some of the monstrosities that they have put up. I don't mind them being new fangled but they tend to be a bit lacking in originality/good ideas.
