  • Only two years late. But, i've finally got around to watching this, via Gary's video.

I seem to remember you mentioning in another video how you'd seen John & Yoko around in NYC. But i didn't realise you were so close when he died.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing :)

  • I was not alive when john was around, but I was born too late. Though he has been part of my life since I was 3 , now 26, due to my parents being HUGE Beatle fans. He was one in a million....never will be another.

  • Thanks for sharing and thanks for the laugh...peace be with you...

  • I was born five years after he died, but the part where you said "What did we miss?" made me cry because I thought of other people who have passed...like Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

John was my fave, too. :) I kind of look weird when I'm smiling and crying at the same time.

  • wow. amazing.

    thanks for sharing this memory.

  • I was about to turn twenty that year and I will never forget that night in 1980. Lennon was also my favorite Beatle and I wonder what could have been if that terrible night had not happened. Even though I didn't know him personally...I miss him and think of him often as I still listen to his music. He was a great artist.

  • Thanks Phil. We sure could use John now to help us through these dark days.

  • I have tried to forgive Mark Chapman for a very long time. His actions have hurt me on a very personal level. I am afraid that try as I might forgiving his actions are impossible, I tolerate his existence.
