  • Wow this part is really intense!Great stuff!

  • It is! And to think that a lot of the dialogue from this particular scene is lifted directly from the book. Really intense.

  • Ahh thanks for the input i didnt know that. Can i ask you also if any of the Homicides are out on DVD in stores?

  • I haven't seen them in stores...but I really haven't been looking. They are available on numerous websites however, and I'm sure you can get the boxed set that includes the movie and L&O crossover episodes for fairly cheap if you do some diggin'.

  • What makes the writing so great on this show is that it's still quite possible that the Araber is innocent! Crap shows like NCIS, CSI or Bones would not even think to put such a level of subtlety in their shows. As would be shown in later episodes the "ghosts" of this case would be far from vanquished.

  • Moses Gunn deserved an Emmy for his role in this one

  • @edavismookie25 Have you seen The Wire? That's another great cop show (well, it's partially a cop show).

  • I like Pembleton's transformation.

  • According to Wikipedia, *real* police units use this episode of Homicide to train detectives in methods of interrogation! How cool.

  • @TheBlackDragon54321 It is these little things that develop the whole that make this such a great (and realistic) television series.

  • @TheBlackDragon54321 You are right. I hate NCIS, CSI, and Bones. The acting is to wooden and the plot of those shows are so farfetched and unrealistic. The only other cop show that I enjoy besides this is Law and Order. Homicide is so realistic that I can remember one show where the air conditioner broke (which happened to us when I was on the job in Chicago) and when there was a shortage of squad cars due to city budgets and mechanical issues (which also happened to us alot at C.P.D!)

  • The entire box set is on Amazon now for 55 bucks. That's a good deal.

  • If you have DirecTV and/or the Centric channel on your cable system, and Tivo, you're in luck, they are playing the whole series now.

And it's currently playing the first season, so hurry up and watch!

  • Barnes and Noble has them but they are really expensive.
