Too bad these weren't exported to North America. I think it would've appealed to buyers here who wanted an attractive, luxurious, V-8 powered car that wasn't the size of Texas or priced as high as a Mercedes. I would've bought one.
I have one of these lovely old cars, stunning to drive, elegant and stately. You really do have a sense of occasion everytime you get behind the wheel. I also own a P6B thats done 19,000 miles...and they are as different as chalk and cheese...the P5B has the grace and elegance, the P6B still has that syle and grace but combines it with slightly more sportier characteristics.
always wanted one of these Rovers...(Sallon ir coupe versions)i was once driven in one back in the 1970's and the car's engine was so quite i could hardly hear it ticking over.
thanks to BUICK as well for turning out such a fantastic little(for them) engine in the first place!
Lovely old girl, have always loved them and just bought 1970 P5B in Jan 2010, brought it over from NSW to WA in Oz and like the Queen it is Arden Green and a classic in all much of the words. People look over here in Oz wondering what the hell it is....certainly a head turner. just finished the trim, now on the wood...what a gorgeous old girl to drive...love it ...love it... love it....in a few years I will add a Jag to thre Garage......Shaun
Nice looking car. Awesome engine under t he hood (bonnet). 3.5 litre. V8 engine! Impressive! I wouldn't want a tired car, but I wouldn't a concours car either.
@quirpco the Rover cost about as much as the Mercedes and with the Benz, there's confidence that the doors will stay on

Nice, the coupe especailly. I met an old gent years ago he claimed to be driving the last one, a coupe with blue body and cream roof. Nice.

Last of the "real" Rovers. Fabulous car. The B stands for Buick, founder of the Buick motor company was from Arbroath in Angus.
