I was eating in a local restaurant years ago when a man slowly walked by the booth in which I was sitting. He paused ever so slightly, looking directly at me, and I looked directly at him. Within an instant, he knew, that I recognized who he was. Never a word crossed between us, but the knowledge of knowing the adoration of a fan was ever present. That man in the restaurant was Vince Edward.

Great TV show, as a kid I loved his tough guy image. been trying to find the return of ben Casey movie in 1988. does anybody have a copy of it. would love to watch it one more time.

What a fantastic show. I became a doctor because of Ben. I was in love with him at 2. I still love dark, strong silent sorts. I can't figure out whether I was born that way or if Ben imprinted my tiny mind and set a trend. I got some DVD's of Ben Casey off ebay last year. They are hard to watch because they're so scratchy but it's still so good. Also, the medicine is out of date obviously but still really accurate and not silly .
