Suite à grave incident signaux en dec 2007, les signaux étaient neutralisés (croix de Saint André) à partir de Steinach in Tirol et les (rares) trains roulaient à vitesse réduite (marche à vue ?). Situation difficile en cette fin d'année 2007 sur cette artère internationale OEBB ...

@c05t1n End December 2007, a storm destroyed the control system of signals (and, may be, routes) south of Steinach (few km long) . The signals were no longer functional (cross of St. Andrew). The number and the speed of trains had to be reduced (seems be, no passing train in this area) .
Some trains could be stopped, for example, upstream in Matrei, for a short time, to let another train priority

Repair was carried out at Steinach station (see cars at the station in the videos during this period) by OEBB and Siemens staff. When asking questions to OEBB people, they were a bit aggresive (they should not feel very comfortable).It's a shame because the only goal was to assure them of my compassion ...
This seems to have lasted mire than a month.
This has been also reported (very briefly) in magazines, among others, as Today's Railways (in English) and Rail Passion (in French).
